ED attaches Baccha Rai’s assets worth Rs 10 crore

This was the first permanent attachment done in the case.ED sources said they were collecting details of properties amassed by the couple who had amassed maximum money after Rai in the scam. Rai was the proprietor of Vishun Roy College at Hajipur in Vaishali district . The students of that college were declared toppers after taking huge amount of money from them. “Though the government rate of all these properties is around Rs3 crore, the market rate is above Rs10 crore,” ED sources said.Now, the ED is likely to attach the properties of former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife and former JD(U) legislator Usha Sinha in the infamous topper scam of 2016.
