Govt OKs land for medical colleges

PATNA: The state cabinet on Friday approved a proposal of the revenue and land reforms department to transfer required land to the health department for construction of medical college and hospitals in Begusarai and Madhubani districts. The land belongs to Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), cabinet secretariat department principal secretary Sanjay Kumar said.Similarly, in Madhubani district, 20.3 acres of land in Jhanjharpur will be transferred to the health department for the establishment of medical college and hospital, he added. Overall, the cabinet approved seven proposals of various departments.At Begusarai, the medical college and hospital will be established at Asurari under Barauni circle of the district where 20 acres of land will be transferred to the health department..
