PATNA: Thanks to the initiative taken by vice-chancellor (VC) Rash Bihari Prasad Singh, more than 200 pending promotion cases of Patna University (PU) teachers have been cleared in the last few months. The last lot of cases were cleared by the selection committee at its meeting held on Saturday.The VC said. Consequently, a three-member committee was constituted to examine the cases of promotion individually. “As many as 135 pending cases, which were taken up by the then officiating VC Arun Kumar Sinha in 2013, have been cleared by the selection committees of different subjects.
