ED attaches properties of Maoist leader in Bihar

"Rs 3 lakh and Rs 15 lakh reward is declared on Binay by Bihar and Jharkhand governments respectively. PATNA: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday permanently attached movable and immovable property worth Rs 77 lakh at Aurangabad in Bihar, amassed by Bihar-Jharkhand’s dreaded Maoist leader Binay Yadav alias Murad ji (50) from extortion (levy) money. The provisional attachment were done by ED in May this year.Attached properties include six land plots worth Rs 28.96 lakh, six vehicles including heavy earth mover, buses and SUV worth Rs 46.21 lakh and deposit of Rs 1.8 lakh in banks in including a fixed deposit of Rs 1.5 lakh in name of Binay’s daughter Puja Kumari. Investigation proved levy collected by Binay was used by Saryu and Prem from which vehicles worth Rs 46.21 lakh were purchased within last two years," ED sources said. Yadav, a native of Deora village in Aurangabad, is also a member of Bihar Regional Committee of CPI (Maoist)..
