165 cadets of Gaya OTA commissioned as Army officers

Samiti’s convener Vijay Kumar Mithu has sought President Ram Nath Kovind’s intervention to prevent closure of Gaya OTA. Thirty-seven other officers were from lower ranks of the Army who will be inducted as special commissioned officers (SCOs). The parade was reviewed by the reviewing officer and lieutenant general Sunil Shrivastava, commandant, OTA, Gaya.The general officer praised the cadets for presenting an excellent drill. GAYA: Altogether 165 officers were formally inducted into the Indian Army at a ceremonial function that included passing out parade at the Officers’ Training Academy, Gaya, on Saturday.The inductees included 128 direct recruits, who, after getting a yearlong basic training at the Gaya OTA , successfully completed a three-year course in military engineering at institutes located in Secunderabad, Mhow and Pune.
