PATNA: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday filed chargesheet against Samastipur’s notorious criminal Ashok Kumar Yadav and his wife Biha Devi for amassing movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs 10.04 crore in Patna and Samastipur. Yadav, was arrested last month.The chargesheet was filed in the special court set up under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.“Yadav had purchased more than 27 plots, including one kattha of land in Phulwarisharif in September 2006. He was also running an LPG gas agency,” sources said. The ED had taken possession of his properties on October 23 this year.According to sources, Yadav , mukhiya of Karaunchi panchayat in Samastipur’s Bithan block, is wanted in more than 30 criminal cases, including murder, extortion and kidnapping, which have been lodged with different police stations of Samastipur, Khagaria and Begusarai districts..
