New officebearers of PU studentsrsquo union take oath

PATNA: Patna University (PU) vice-chancellor (VC) Rash Bihari Prasad Singh administered the oath of office to the newly elected office-bearers and council members of the Patna University Students’ Union (PUSU) at a function organized at Wheeler Senate House on Saturday. He said they would work for the betterment of the university and extend their full cooperation in achieving academic excellence. The council members elected from Patna Training College, Women’s Training College and the faculties of commerce, education and law did not turn up at the oath-taking ceremony.Addressing the newly elected representatives, the VC expressed the hope that the PU students’ union would set a standard for students of other universities in the state and the country. The university had made elaborate security arrangements at the venue. They include Akanksha Verma, Zulekha Kalam, Priyanka Srivastava, Simran Mandal (Patna Women’s College), Prem Pratigya (College of Arts and Crafts), Prachi and Manoranjan Kumar Raja ( Patna College ), Abhinav Kumar (Vanijya Mahavidyalaya), Hanshika Dayal ( Patna Law College ), Pragati Chauhan, Khushboo, Agrima Raj and Anam Imam (Magadh Mahila College), Priya Ranjan Kumar and Roshan Kumar Raja (B N College), Vikky Kumar and Parmeshwar Raj ( Patna Science College ), Shivam (faculty of science), Shashi Gunjan and Niraj Yadav (faculty of social science) and Rizwan (faculty of humanities)..
