Affiliated college teachers allowed to evaluate papers

Even if the affiliated college teachers are asked to evaluate the answer sheets, teachers of only constituent colleges be made head examiners. Furthermore, five percent of the answer books evaluated by affiliated college teachers should be randomly re-evaluated by senior teachers of constituent colleges. The decision to debar affiliated college teachers from evaluation work was taken at a meeting of the vice-chancellors at Raj Bhavan on December 14.Quite recently, the teachers of affiliated colleges in B R A Bihar University had disrupted the evaluation work at Muzaffarpur in protest against the chancellor’s directive. If any irregularity is found during re-evaluation, stern action should be taken against the examiner as well as the college where he or she is employed.Raj Bhavan sources said the decision was taken after considering the various representations made by the teachers’ organizations and people’s representatives in favour of affiliated college teachers. They had not even allowed any examiner to enter the evaluation centres..
