69 students felicitated at Litera Valley School

PATNA: At least 69 meritorious students received awards at a function organized by of Litera Valley School on Saturday.Additional director general of police Kundan Krishnan was the chief guest of the event.Principal Sharat Kumar Singh exhorted the students to strive for academic excellence and take part in co-curricular activities. School director Amit Prakash, academic head Shabnam Bhowmick, teachers, non-teaching staff and students were also present on the occasion.Gyan Niketan Girls’ School: Dance, drama and music marked the annual day function of Gyan Niketan Girls’ School on Saturday.The event was inaugurated by director general (civil defence) Arvind Pandey. Students presented different dance forms and staged English and Hindi skits on the occasion.School principal Dharmsheela presented the annual report and felicitated last year’s meritorious students.IIT-P: The Association of Civil Engineers (ACE) organized a ‘Civil Fest’ at Indian Institute of Technology-Patna (IIT-P) on Saturday.The event was jointly inaugurated by IIT-Madras’ civil engineering professor Devdas Menon and IIT-P director Pushpak Bhattacharyya.More than 200 students of other institutes like National Institute of Technology-Patna, Motihari College of Engineering, Gaya College of Engineering, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering, Nalanda College of Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology-Patna, BIT-Sindri and Sityog Institute of Technology took part in the fest.BSEB: At least 432 students, using unfair means, were barred from taking the Intermediate examination and 26 impersonators held on Saturday.The exams are being conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) at altogether 1,339 centres across the state..
