PATNA: Now, you will think twice before creating nuisance at hospitals or private clinics in the state as the authorities concerned are hiring well-built bouncers for better security.According to a study conducted by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), over 75% of doctors in the country have faced some form of violence at work.IMA-Muzaffarpur president Dr Sanjay Kumar said, “Hospitals pay around Rs 10,000 per month for hiring bouncers while doctors running private clinics pay Rs 2,000 every month. “When unsocial elements see well-built security men in uniforms outside hospitals or clinics, they stay away from doctors,” he told TOI.One Sadan Mohan, who heads a security agency with offices in Patna and Muzaffarpur, said, “Of the 35 security men we have, five are retired army personnel, five carry arms and 15 are bouncers. Those, who attack doctors at work, should be booked under non-bailable sections.”.
