1st phase of LS polls: 60 candidates file papers

Chandan Kumar of LJP and Vibha Devi of RJD filed their nomination papers for Nawada seat.Authoritative sources said 60 nomination papers were filed in Nawada, Gaya, Aurangabad and Jamui. PATNA: As many as 60 candidates, including Hindustani Awam Morcha (S) chief and former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, filed their nomination papers from the four Lok Sabha constituencies going to the polls in the first phase on April 11. He also filed his nomination today.In addition, 24 nomination papers were filed from the five other constituencies going to the polls in the second phase on April 18. Monday was the last day for filing of nomination papers for the first phase.Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan’s son Chirag Paswan also filed his nomination papers for the Jamui seat.
