Rain with thunderstorms will occur in 36 districts of Bihar including Patna, Meteorological Department issued alert

The weather pattern has started changing again in Bihar.

Monsoon has become active once again in the state.

According to the Meteorological Center located at Patna, the trough of Monsoon is moving towards Bengal from sea level through Firozpur, Hisar, Meerut, Hardoi, Sultanpur, Nalanda, Bokaro forming a low-pressure area.

Due to this, it is raining in the state.

During the next 24 hours, moderate rain is forecast at many places over the eastern parts of the state and light to moderate rain in the remaining parts.

According to meteorologist Sanjay Kumar, there is a forecast of thunderstorms with heavy rain at some places.

In view of the activity of monsoon, the state`s West-East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar, Samastipur, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Saharsa, Katihar has been issue red alert.

A yellow alert has been issued for places like Madhepura, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai etc.

At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for Nawada, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui.

Lightning is expected at these places with heavy rain for 24 hours.

Many districts of the state including the capital Patna received heavy monsoon rains on Wednesday.

People got relief from the heat and humidity.

The state has received 564.9 mm of rain in June and July so far, which is 17 percent more than normal.
