There has been a major Naxal incident in the Naxal-affected Jamui district of Bihar.

There, more than two dozen Maoist Maoists occupied Chaura station on the Patna-Howrah rail route and stopped the operation of trains for hours.

The special thing about the incident is that there was a police alert after intelligence inputs of Naxalite attack in East Bihar including Bhagalpur.

According to the information received, the Naxalites are celebrating Martyrs` Week in the memory of their slain comrades from July 29 to August 3.

During this, the Naxalites, who reached the station on Saturday morning, took possession of the railway personnel on the strength of arms.

After this, trains were stopped from running through the station.

Due to this, trains were stopped at other stations on either side of the station.

Before the Naxal attack, the last train via this route was South Bihar Express at 3:20 am.

Since then this road was blocked for hours.

After getting information about the incident, contingents of police and paramilitary forces reached the spot.
