Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has approved the alignment of four new national highways in the state.

Along with this, the officials have been directed to send recommendations to the Center regarding the construction of seven new NHs.

The Chief Minister gave these instructions while reviewing the projects related to the National Highway on Wednesday.

Road construction minister Nitin Naveen was also present in the review meeting.

During this, the Chief Minister said that the projects which have been prepared for the purpose of strengthening the road infrastructure are better.

With the approval of the new road, the distance from Patna to Kolkata, Delhi and Varanasi will be reduced and new connectivity will be available.

The CM said that with the construction of new roads, people will get more ease in traveling at a faster speed.

Traveling by road to Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi will also save people time as well as convenience.

The Chief Minister said that along with the construction of new roads, the old roads should also be maintained.

Work to increase accessible connectivity in cities.

In the presence of the CM, approval was given for the alignment of new four lane green field from south of Lakhisarai to Munger via Mokama to Manoharpur under Mokama-Munger four lane road.
