Not aware of Nitish Kumar accepting Haryana rally invite, says JD(U) after INLD confirms his presence

Patna, Sep 9 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) on Thursday said it was not aware of the leader having "accepted" any invitation for a function, later this month, in Haryana, where he could end up sharing the stage with a number of satraps opposed to the BJP-led NDA.

JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan made a statement to the effect a day after media reports surfaced, quoting INLD leader Abhay Chautala, who is organizing the rally at Jind on September 25, about Kumar having "confirmed" his presence.

"I am not aware of this.

In any case, it is not a party matter.

He (Nitish) may have got an invitation in capacity as chief minister.

In such cases he takes his own decision.
