Summary:

PATNA: Thanks to the recent amendments to the admission ordinance and examination regulations of postgraduation (PG) courses following the implementation of semester system, students graduating from Patna University (PU) colleges are unlikely to be admitted to the PG courses in PU this year. Only a few girl students passing from Patna Women's College are likely to be admitted along with boys and girls from outside PU. In absence of these vital documents, it is not possible for any head of the department to prepare the merit list for admission. On the contrary, students graduating from other universities are expected to predominate in PU departments.PU physics department head Rohit Raman pointed out that a majority of applicants figuring in the list of candidates selected for admission in MSc (physics) are from outside PU as they have high marks. He apprehended that lack of such vital documents may delay the process of admission, causing great inconvenience to the admission seekers as well as the faculty of the department..
