Saharsa girl loses one year for BSEB fault

PATNA: Saharsa girl Priyanka Singh, who was wrongly flunked by the Bihar School Examination Board ( BSEB ) in two subjects in Class X examination, has lost one precious year. It was only after BSEB produced her answer booklets in the high court on her petition when it was revealed that the barcode of her answer books was interchanged with one Santushti Kumari. Priyanka finally scored 61 in Sanskrit and full marks in science and the court of Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh on October 18 slapped Rs5 lakh fine on BSEB. After she applied for scrutiny, her marks in science was reduced to seven while it remained the same in Sanskrit.
