Centre of excellence: Jipmer is the first government institution in south to get approval to provide online radiology service. The service is aimed at providing online consultation by Jipmer radiologist to another remote doctor/centre for diagnosis and treatment planning (teleradiology). Technology partnerThe MOHFW is providing the necessary equipment while the NIC will act as the technology partner and provide the CORS (CollabDDS Online Radiology Services) application, training and support. One radiology consultant of Jipmer has been given training and CollabDDS software has been installed and tested with the NIC Delhi. The CollabDDS provide radiological services to the medical and dental colleges for ‘Remote End Consultation’, Real Time Consultation’, ‘Peer-to-Peer Consultation’ and ‘Knowledge Sharing, Education and Research’..
