Puducherry received 98 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24-hours ending at 10 am on Friday, while 3 fatalities have been recorded on Thursday.
Fresh cases on Thursday pushed the UTs total cases tally to 1.20 lakh.
The cumulative death toll has reached 1,786.
The active cases tally has further dipped to 918.

Director of the Health and Family Welfare department, S Mohan Kumar said that, so far 37,724 vaccine doses have been given to health workers and 22,953 to frontline workers.
3,257 general public were inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, while 4.65 lakh people in all age groups have been vaccinated to date.
Puducherry has administered 6.59 lakh vaccines including the second dose (general Public + Covid warriors).

The official said that 132 patients have also recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 1.17 lakhs.
