The active cases tally has further dipped to 888.
The Puducherry headquarters received the highest 62 new Covid-19 cases, followed by Karaikal (6), Yanam (1) and Mahe (12).
Director of the Health and Family Welfare department, S Mohan Kumar said that, so far 37,875 vaccine doses have been given to health workers and 22,798 to frontline workers.
3,896 general public were inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, while 5.15 lakh people in all age groups have been vaccinated to date.
Puducherry has administered 7.22 lakh vaccines including the second dose (general Public + Covid warriors).

The official said that 100 patients have also recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 1.18 lakhs.
