Summary:
Puducherry, May 4 (PTI) Puducherry added no new case to its Coronavirus tally during the last 24 hours ending 10 a.m.
on Wednesday and the aggregate remained 1,65,794.
The Department of Health tested 23 samples during the last 24 hours and no fresh infection was detected during the examination.
The active cases remained nine and they were all in home quarantine.
Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a release that there was no fresh fatality in any of the four regions of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam and the toll remained 1,962.
The total recoveries were 1,63,823.
The Department of Health has examined so far 22,34,977 samples and has found 18,79,798 out of them to be negative.
The test positivity rate was zero while fatality and recovery rates remained 1.18 percent and 98.81 percent, respectively.
The official said that the department of Health has administered so far 16,89,244 doses which comprised 9,64,686 first doses, 7,03,644 second and 20,914 booster doses.
