Maharashtra Board Class 12 exams begin from Wednesday

PUNE: Pune: As many as 14.85 lakh students will appear for the higher school certificate (HSC, std XII) examination from Maharashtra this year. "The state board also said that students will have to report to the examination centre 30 minutes in prior to examination time. The exam will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary education from Wednesday onwards.The exam will be conducted across 9,486 junior colleges in the state and 2,822 centres have been allotted for the exam. Of the total students, 8.34 lakh are boys while 6.50 lakh students are girls.The exam will be conducted in the nine divisions of the state board including Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. Flying and sitting squads, CCTV cameras and monitoring committees under the chairmanship of district collectors have been set up..
