Fresh deadline to regularize buildings

Pune | Friday | 13th July, 2018

Summary:

Pune: The initiative to regularize illegal properties in PMC limits has received a poor response with only 75 property owners applying for it so far.The drive was started following the state government's directives. “The frequent extensions have given a wrong message.,” said Vivek Velankar of Sajag Nagrik Manch, a citizens group. The PMC is now contemplating giving more time to citizens to submit their proposals. The entity seeking regularization will need to bear the costs involved.“Owing to the poor response, we have planned to extend the deadline as per the GR of the state government,” sources from PMC said.Activists have blamed the PMC’s lethargic approach for the poor response. The six-month deadline will end on July 19..
