Cityrsquos film buffs get a slice of European cinema

Summary:

The closing film Labyrinthus (Belgium) was followed by a master class with director Douglas Boswell on July 12. A few of the films screened were Unexpected Journey ( Finland ), Taranta on the road (Italy) and The Bride/La Novia (Spain). Speaking to us about the festival, Huyghebaert said, “The European Union Film Festival has been conducted for the past 26 years and organised to show the diverse global film scene to the Indian public. I decided to come down for the closing ceremony because the closing film was from my country and two people associated with it were also going to be here.”- Rhea Bali The National Films Archive of India ( NFAI ) took them on a European sojourn with the European Union Film Festival that was jointly held with the European Union Delegation of India to present modern European films.Prakash Magdum, director of NFAI, was in a particularly upbeat mood as he spoke to us about hosting the festival..
