Puneites witnessed a beautiful and vibrant melange of dance performances at the three day Dancing Flames Festival organised by renowned Kathak exponent Prerana Deshpande. "The intention of organising this festival was to promote the dance form among the young generation and to encourage solo dancers to maintain the original form of different styles in Kathak. Twelve dancers from Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and the US presented the traditional Kathak performance merged with live music.
