Pune to become first digitally literate district

After checking the working condition of these computers, the organization provides them to schools of remote areas where digitalisation is still a dream. Apart from providing hardware, the organisation also works upon providing computer education to these remote area schools.In future, SEAP targets to provide hardware to the schools of Maval Taluka of Pune district. PUNE: Sankalp Digital Maharashtra , an initiative to facilitate the digitalisation of the schools in rural areas of Pune, kicked off recently in the city.It has been jointly started by Seva Sahayog and Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP).These organisations had aimed to make Pune the first digitally literate district of the country and they jointly entitled to provide computer sets and its education to all school students of remote areas, a statement issued by SEAP said.The mission was inaugurated at Balshikshan Mandir Auditorium recently. Atul Nagras, chairman, Seva Sahayog Foundation; Shailesh Ghatpande, director, operations, Seva Sahayog Foundation and Vidhyadhar Purandare, secretary, SEAP were present on the occasion.On the day of inauguration, the organisation provided 68 computers and nine laptops to 16 zila parishad schools and three NGOs from Bhor Taluka.SEAP intends to use the unused computers from various software companies for a social cause..
