Trio dupes land developer of Rs 392 cr in Pune

The trio claimed that they have a land parcel of 121 gunthas (around three acre) at Kiwale, near Dehu road, which few farmers wanted to sell.The suspects estimated the land worth Rs 3.92 crore. Patel paid all the money to the three suspects in 2013.However, despite waiting for five years, the suspects have not handed over the property to the land developer and neither executed the necessary land documents, like agreement and registration, police said.The land developer realized that the suspects have cheated him and approached the police. After initial discussions, Patel decided to buy the land for development as the area has fair connectivity to the Pimpri Chinchwad and to the Hinjewadi IT Park. The three suspects are related to each other and came in contact with Patel in 2013. PUNE: The city police have booked three persons, including a woman, for duping a city-based land developer to the tune of Rs 3.92 crore between 2013 and 2018 by promising a land located in Dehu road.The developer, Amit Rantanbhai Patel (34), a resident of sector 10, Bhosari , has lodged a complaint with the Dehu road police station.Police said, Patel and his partner have undertaken several land development projects in Pimpri Chinchwad ..
