Summary:

Another two days will be needed to complete the search for a new dumping area.”Residents of Wagholi have been approaching one government authority after another to seek a permanent and sustainable solution to the garbage dumping issue. The Wagholi gram panchayat is clearly washing its hands off the garbage issue claiming that they do not have any place to collect and dump residential garbage.”Wagholi, Sandip Satav, speaking to Mirror, said, “There is some work going on with the garbage unit and as of now there is no space to dump the garbage. First they should have solved the garbage collection problem and later gone for their new project. Even as they cope every day with bad roads and severe traffic issues, their life has now been blessed with putrefying garbage. All the work here is done without any planning.”District collector Naval Kishore Ram, however, announced on Wednesday that two acres of land will be soon allotted for garbage dumping and the work should begin soon..
