PUNE: Seven labourers working at a Metro project in Kothrud were assaulted in the early hours of Saturday by three unidentified men who robbed them of cash and cellphones, collectively worth Rs 12,000. “They are out of danger,” said a MahaMetro official.The official said that these labourers were hired by a private company for soil testing work for the Metro project on Paud Road. “They knew that the labourers slept under the structure at night and also carried luggage with them,” the official said. The official said that the trio snatched Rs 6,650 from the labourers and cellphones from some of them. “Around 12.30 pm on Saturday, the labourers were sleeping under a concrete structure on the premises of the garbage depot on Paud Road when three men reached there on a motorcycle..
