Cops see rise in plaints against daughters-in-law

The elderly women do not want their daughters-in-law in their homes. Usually, senior citizens are emotionally attached to such properties. The complainants have stated that their daughters-in-law are abusive towards them, mistreat them and do not look after their health issues. The cell is currently analysing all the complaints in order to ascertain the cause.Inspector Swati Thorat, who heads the cell, told TOI, “Last year, a majority of complaints were against the wards of senior citizens in relation to land, property, gold and apartments.
