Pune Thieves steal gold cash from temple

The suspects fled with silver, gold ornaments and cash collectively worth over Rs40,000. PUNE: Unidentified persons stole gold and silver ornaments from the deity and cash from the donation box of an old temple located in Bavdhan between Saturday night and Sunday morning.The old temple is located off Katraj-Dehu Road bypass on Flame campus road.According to the Hinjewadi police, treasurer of the temple, Suryakant Unde, approached the police with a complaint. The police were studying the CCTV footage of the temple and also assessing the loss.A few villagers visited the temple on Sunday morning and found that the gold and silver ornaments were missing from the idol and the donation box was broken .
