Ratnagiri college stages lsquoMadamrsquo walks away with Purushottam Karandak

PUNE: Gogate-Jogalekar College from Ratnagiri won this year's Purushottam Karandak for their play 'Madam'.The finals of the inter-college drama competition conducted by Maharashtra Kalopasak were held on Sunday. The best actor (female) was given to Monica Bankar for the play 'PCO'. Among the entries, four team awards, five individual and ten consolation prizes were given.The Sir Parshurambhau College received the best experimental play award. A total of 19 plays were presented in the final round.The best director award was given to Mukul Dhekle for the play 'Afsana' whereas best actor (male) was given to Hemant Shirke for the same play..
