High Court: It is inappropriate to make people homeless during the Corona period

In the wake of the coronation, the High Court said that almost all the high courts in the country had ordered a similar stay on the settlement.

He also clarified that all the interim orders of the High Court will be applicable in both Maharashtra and Goa till October 31.

On June 16, the PCMC had demanded removal of encroachments on rivers in Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal area.

Taking note of this, the National Green Arbitration (NGT) had ordered action against the encroachments.

A petition has been filed in the High Court on behalf of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation seeking permission to comply with the order.

A four-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Dipankar Dutta heard the case on Wednesday.

But the order is likely to make some citizens homeless during Corona`s difficult times.
