Across Maharashtra, the number of vaccinations was at 73% with a total of 21,610 getting the vaccine.

Dr Sanjay Deshmukh, deputy director of health of the region, which includes Pune, Satara and Solapur districts said that yesterday, at least 3,533 of around 5,000 recipients were inoculated.

12 vaccination centres achieved the target of vaccinating 100 recipients each, including four centres in the district.

The other two centres were at sub-district hospital Karad and Mission Hospital at Wai, Satara district.

Six centres in Solapur district that achieved the target include Ashwini Rugnalay, Sangola rural hospital, Ashwini rural medical college, Kumbhari, Akkalkot and Barshi rural hospital and Akluj sub-district hospital.

At 87%, Solapur district witnessed the highest number of vaccine recipients getting the jab.

Deshmukh told The Indian Express that at least 960 of 1,100 people were inoculated in Solapur while 82% vaccinations were reported in Satara with at least 735 of 900 recipients getting the vaccine.

Pune rural witnessed the highest number of vaccinations with 1,151 of 1,500 getting inoculated.
