.

The locals and daily wage workers are appreciating the unlock in Pune with Malls and Hotels, Shops to ease restrictions from today despite the positivity rate of Pune having 11.11 per cent and oxygen bed occupancy is 13 percent.

The decision of local authorities is getting much appreciation from the shopkeepers and hotel/mall owners.

Hotelier Sandesh Bhat, who runs the hotel chain ‘Fish Curry & Rice’ in Pune, said, “I welcome this decision of authorities.

In a lockdown, we had a very bad time as only parcel services were allowed but now we will start catering again to our patrons, my entire team has done all preparations and ready to welcome the guests at our all outlet.”

Based on the positivity rate and occupied oxygen bed capacity in the district, the state government has allotted various ‘Levels’ to the districts and based on the same figures, different relaxations have been given.

If any district has got positivity rate under 5 per cent and oxygen bed occupancy less than 25 per cent, then that district qualifies for Level 1 under which the state government has allowed almost all activities to remain open.
