RAIPUR: After failing to dispose off waste in a trash bin on railway station road, a youth was forced to do sit-ups at a public place as a punishment by the Raipur mayor on Thursday. A video of the mayor Pramod Dubey asking the youth to do sit-ups went viral on social media, raising the hackles of human rights activists.The incident took place on railway station road, where a youth was found throwing garbage on the main road by the mayor. Therafter, the mayor turns to the worker and instructs him not to throw garbage on the road and asks him to do sit-ups as a punishment for not listening to him.After the video went viral, social activists termed the mayor's act as a violation of human rights.
