RAIPUR: City counsellor and psychotherapist Smita Misra , who is associated with many schools in Raipur, won the "Best Counsellor" award at the CBSE National Teachers' Award 2017-2018 held at New Delhi on September 6.Talking to TOI Smita said, "I feel very nice and proud that I have been recognized for the work I have been doing for a very long time. "Speaking about her work Smita said, "I have been working with teachers, parents, and students for last 18 years providing them guidance and training. Now I will be able to reach out to more people and children and help them through counselling. ""As a dedicated counsellor and psychotherapist, my focus has been to emphasize the concept of positive reinforcement of self and others with a goal of assisting individuals to take responsibility for their lives in a way that is empowering.".
