Chhattisgarh forms SIT to probe PDS scam, probe under IPS Kalluri

During his tenure, Chhattisgarh government and Kalluri received multiple notices from international agencies of civil rights groups for his alleged indisciplinary acts. He was also criticized for avoiding notices sent by National Human Rights Commission for hearing on human rights violations in Bastar. There were about 18 persons made accused in the case including IAS officers—the then food and civil supplies secretary Dr Alok Shukla and Ashok Tuteja, the then managing director of Chhattisgarh civil supplies corporation.After his controversial stint in Bastar, where he was accused of blatant human rights violations by civil rights groups, SRP Kalluri was posted in loop-line position for nearly two years. There were also raids which indicated holding disproportionate assets worth lakhs, which would be cross-checked during probe.The ACB had recovered cash worth Rs 3.65 crore along with documents from residences and offices of over a dozen officials who were sent to jail. Of the 113 page diary having details of transactions made, only six pages were investigated earlier and the remaining 107 pages would also be investigated.The SIT would also probe into illegal monetary transactions made, the details of which has to be verified from 127-pages retrieved from a computer seized after ACB raid..
