Lok Sabha elections 2019: Congress declared list of five Lok Sabha candidates

RAIPUR: Congress party declared the names of the candidates of five Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh . Party central election committee released its fourth list of 27 candidates on Saturday late night.In the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Chhattisgarh, the name of candidates includes Khelsai Singh from Surguja-ST, Laljeet Singh Rathia from Raigarh-ST, Ravi Bhardwaj from Jangir-Champa SC, Deepak Baij from Bastar – ST and Biresh Thakur from Kanker –ST.Out of these candidates, Khelsai, Baij and Laljeet are legislators of Premnagar of Surajpur district, Chitrakoot of Bastar district and Dharamjaigarh of Raigarh district respectively.As per political inputs, in Chhattisgarh four Loksabha seats are reserved for Tribal candidates, one for Schedule Caste (SC) candidate and six are for general candidates.As per information, the declaration of remaining six Lok Sabha candidates from Chhattisgarh will be declared after the Congress party’s delegations meeting on March 18.Among the 27 Lok Sabha seats, 12 are from Kerala, seven from Uttar Pradesh, five from Chhattisgarh, two from Arunachal and one from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
