Chhattisgarh logs 38 new COVID-19 cases, no death; active tally up to 195

Raipur, Jun 14 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Tuesday recorded 38 new COVID-19 cases, taking its overall tally to 11,52,717, while no fresh death due to the infection was registered in the state, an official said.

The state"s COVID-19 death toll remained unchanged at 14,035.

The positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, stood at 2.08 per cent.

Among the 38 new cases, Raipur alone accounted for 18, while no new COVID-19 patient was detected in 20 districts in the last 24 hours, he said.

The number of recoveries reached 11,38,487 after 10 people completed their home isolation, leaving the state with an active tally of 195, the official said.

With 1,825 swab samples examined during the day, the overall number of tests went up to 1,77,77,389, he added.

Chhattisgarh"s coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,52,717, new cases 38, death toll 14,035, recoveries 11,38,487, active cases 195, total tests 1,77,77,389.
