Chhattisgarh sees 129 COVID-19 cases, 1 death; active tally now 983

Raipur, Jul 1 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Friday reported 129 COVID-19 cases at a positivity rate of 1.03 per cent, taking the tally to 11,54,475, while the death toll increased by one to reach 14,038, an official said.

The recovery count stood at 11,39,454 after 78 people completed home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 983 active cases, he said.

"Raipur recorded 35 cases, followed by 16 in Balodabazar, 15 cases in Durg, 13 in Rajnandgaon, nine in Kanker and eight Bilaspur among other districts.

No coronavirus case was reported in 11 districts," he informed.

With 12,581 samples examined during the day, the tally of tests carried out so far went up to 1,79,21,254, he added.
