Soon, Google Map to locate public loos

RAIPUR: Locating a public toilet when you need to releive yourself while outdoors will get easier very soon with the digital geographical tagging of toilets in the city, which once implementated, will allow residents to locate toilets in the vicinity via Google Map.As part of the Swachh campaign, RMC's sub engineers and council representatives are being trained by Quality Council of India on how to implement the process of tagging the existing public toilets on the world wide web.Two engineers from each of the eight zones are being trained.After the system is activated, apart from 180 toilets, it will also show geo-locations of 48 petrol pumps, six malls, government and private hospitals when accessed via Google Maps.Geotagging is a process of assigning a 'geo-tag' or adding some geographical information in various media forms including digital photograph, video or even in a SMS message.Geo-tagging has already proved to be a powerful tool in monitoring housing projects in some of the mission implementing states, such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala..
