VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Congress on Monday sent digital rakhis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi , asking him to fulfil his election promises and other assurances he made to the state during bifurcation time.APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy launched the digital rakhi campaign by members of the Mahila Congress. The women activists sent the digital rakhis to the PM on his email and other social media accounts, requesting him to give special category status to the State. They also urged the prime minister to give railway zone and backward area funds to Rayalaseema and north Andhra , establish a sea port at Dugarajapatnam , steel factory at Kadapa and provide 100 per cent funding for the Polavaram project.Raghuveera Reddy said women activists of the party across 13 districts sent the rakhis to the prime minister through the social media..
