Govt asks for five more NDRF teams

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who held an emergency meeting to assess the preparedness in wake of heavy rain, said that the state government has asked for five more NDRF teams in addition to the 15 already stationed here. "Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar said that state government has sought help of the Air Force to rescue people in four villages in Gir-Gadhada taluka that were cut off due to continuous downpour. But as of now there is no change in his programme.
