Rajkot: Two lion cubs attacked a farmer in a village of Visavvadar taluka in Junagadh district at Tuesday noon.According to forest officials, Meram Gamara (45), was checking possible damage to his standing crop.“Suddenly, the two cubs, aged around 12 months and 15 months, came out of the bushes adjoining his field and in front of him. Gamara tried to escape but they attacked him,” said Deepak Chowdhary, range forest officer (RFO) at Visavadar.Chowdhary said that the place where Gamara was attacked is an area where lion movement is often seen.He has received bite injuries on shoulder and shifted to Visavadar civil hospital.
