Rajkot: Two persons were arrested with two firearms and four cartridges from Sadala village of Muli taluka and Muli in Surendranagar district on Sunday.“We first arrested Pratik Darji (24) who was found in possession of one country made pistol and four cartridges from Sadala village,” said Rajkot rapid response cell sub-inspector M P Vala.During his interrogation, Darji told the cops that he had procured the weapon and cartridges from one Faizan Ghanchi in Muli, 10 days ago.“Acting on this information, we took Darji to Muli and arrested Ghanchi. We seized one country made pistol from Ghanchi,” said Vala.Ghanchi told the cops that he used to procure firearms and cartridges from a Madhya Pradesh-based arms dealer Virendra Adivasi, following which police have booked him for the crime. “We will soon be dispatching a team to MP to nab Adivasi, whose whereabouts in that state we will soon be finding out” added Vala..
