PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Museum on Sept 30

RAJKOT: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Museum developed at Alfred High School in Rajkot on September 30. Gandhiji had studied for seven years from 1880-1887 at Alfred High School and completed his matriculation.The school building was constructed by the Nawab of Junagadh in 1875 and named after Prince Alfred, the Duke of Edinburgh. The information will be available in two languages.A Gandhian study centre and a library has also been set up at the museum for researchers who want to study the life of Mahatma Gandhi. According to RMC, visitors won’t be allowed to take food inside the museum.
