RAJKOT: A four-day-old infant boy , who was allegedly branded by his grandmother in Khakhravel village of Paddhari taluka in Rajkot a week ago, succumbed in Rajkot Civil Hospital on Thursday evening. Seeing bloated stomach, his grandmother Gajra branded him with some iron needle, thinking that there was some gastric trouble. The Paddhari police officials have registered case of accidental death and begun investigation.The deceased infant was born to couple Lakshmi Singhla and Indersinh Singhla on December 21.
