Car plunges into canal, one dies

Palanpur: A clerk at Harij Market Yard died after his car plunged into Narmada main canal on Tuesday afternoon near Kureja village of Patan district. Some women, washing clothes near the canal, saw the car falling and informed police. His body was fished out of the canal by divers from Ahmedabad on Wednesday.The deceased Bhavsinh Thakor (33), a native of Ravindra village, lost control of his car and plunged into the canal on Tuesday. But, due to heavy flow of water, the rescue operations were hampered on Tuesday. Police Thakor’s body was handed over to his family after postmortem..
