On Thursday, they went to different shops in Alkapuri and sold gold jewellery weighing 61grams there.

They were left with ornaments weighing around five kg and returned to their hotel.

On Friday morning, they left the hotel and were to leave for Rajkot.

According to Dhakan, the driver suggested that they eat ‘ganthia’ at an eatery at Chhani jakatnaka and they decided to snack before leaving for Rajkot.

They kept the bags in the boot of their car.
